WANDERING LAVAPIES

Lo mejor que puedes hacer un domingo por la mañana si estás en Madrid es ir al Rastro de Cascorro, el mercadillo más típico de la ciudad. Además de poder encontrar casi todo lo que te propongas allí( desde chaquetas de piel, a calcetines, joyas, utensilios de cocina, antigüedades o sea lo que sea que busques...), vivirás el bullício proprio de madrid, sus gentes, el típico puesto de aceitunas...
Todo esto se completa con un paseo por Lavapiés , el barrio más colorido de Madrid. Es el "melting pot" de diferentes gentes y culturas. Son las calles, los olores, la música, la diferentes caras con las que te deparas...Simplemente un barrio inspirador. Si eliges la ciudad dónde quieres comer, podrás ir alli sin problemas. En Senegal? Marruecos? Italia? Sólo elige!

Así que este domingo, mi hermana pequeña y yo decidimos volver a casa por unas horas. Fuimos  a "Pilum", un pequeño restaurante dónde sirven comida de Guinea Bissau. Deliciosa!

Antes, paseando, nos hemos encontrado con este increíble mural. Los colores son impresionantes, así que no pudimos pasar de largo. Rapidamente, estabamos en una sesión fotográfica... y este es el resultado!
Me encanta la luz del sol, tan natural y poderosa. El efecto es maravilloso.

The best thing to do on a sunday morning if you´re in Madrid, is to head to Cascorro Rastro,  a typical street market where you can find almost anything( from faux fur jackets, to socks, to jewelry, going down to kitchen accesories or whatever you may need... ), and then stroll around Lavapiés, the most diverse and colorful neighbough of the city. Lavapiés in kind of a melting pot of people from all around. Just the streets, the smell, the music,  the people you will find, so many different faces...
It´s just an inspiring place to be.  Plus you can pick where in the world you want to eat, and enter the place: you have from senegalese, to italian, moroccan...

So this sunday, me and my little sister felt like going home, so we went to this little restaurant where they serve food from Guinea Bissau. Just delicious!

Before that, while walking around we bumped into this amazing wall graffitti. The colors were simply too vibrant tojust pass around, so of course an impromptu shoot took place right away.
This is the result. I just love the way the sun is all over, just natural light! 

Este es look que elegí para el día, confortable y sexy. Unos pantalones cortos blancos, conjuntados con esta camiseta de Zara, que me encanta, por el toque tribal. Las sandalias son de H&M. 

This is my comfy yet sexy look I chose for the day, just simple white shorts that I paired with this interesting t-shirt from Zara. I really like the tribal feeling of it. The gladiator-like sandals are from H&M.
